What We Believe

Like Jesus, we seek to be humble in heart (Matthew 11:29) and continually grow in our understanding of God and His Word. We hold our beliefs with conviction and humility, recognizing that God’s ways are greater than our own understanding. We remain open to the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, welcoming grace-filled dialogue and pursuing unity as we seek truth together (Ephesians 4:3).

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe in one God – the creator of heaven and earth, the Father of our lord Jesus Christ. God has revealed Himself to us through His Word, His son and His spirit. (Ephesians 4:4-6)

We believe in the lord Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, was resurrected, and ascended to heaven where he is alive today at the right hand of God. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we believe we are called to live in service to our lord by aligning ourselves with him. (Acts 2:32-33, 36)

We believe in God’s gift of holy spirit, the helper, received by every Christian. The holy spirit is the grace and power that enables us to live transformed lives and to do the works of Christ today. (John 14:16-17)

We believe we are saved by God’s grace, through faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In God’s plan of salvation, we receive eternal life and we are born again into a new creation today, made in the likeness of Christ. This process of maturity and transformation into his image is ongoing until Christ’s return. (Romans 10:9; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 8:29)

We believe in the power of community. As Christians we form one body, with each individual member having a vital role to play in the life of the church – locally and globally. We believe no one can grow into the best version of themselves by themselves. (Romans 12:4-5; Ephesians 4:15-16)
